Here are a few tips to help you care for your new floors:
- Tip 1
Mop floor with static mop to pick up loose dust.
- Tip 2
Mop floor with moist mop from bucket of warm water and cap full of methylated spirits.
- Tip 3
Put felt pads on table or chair legs to protect floor from scratches.
- Tip 4
Don't put rugs or mats down on the new floor for 3 weeks while the floor is acclimatising to the sunlight.
- Tip 5
Lay mats or carpets down in high traffic areas after the first 3 weeks to protect floor.
- Tip 6
Remember it can take a lot of effort to move your furniture out of your house and find somewhere to stay while you have your floors done so if your floor is looked after properly it will last a long time before needing to be done again.
